Our Doctors

Joshua Hooper, MD

Doctor Joshua Hooper is originally from Holstein, Ontario. He completed his undergraduate degree in honors health sciences at Wilfrid Laurier University. Following this, he attended medical school at the University of Toronto for 4 years. He then returned to Kitchener-Waterloo to complete his residency in family medicine working predominantly at the Wellesley clinic location. He enjoys hockey and golf. Doctor Hooper is the newest addition to the team here in new Hamburg and is really looking forward to his future in this community.

David Martin, MD

Dr. David Martin is originally from Mississauga, Ontario. He obtained his degree in Biochemistry at the University of Western Ontario. He then attended medical school at Queen’s University followed by his post graduate residency training in Family Medicine at McMaster University. He has been in practice in New Hamburg since 2017 and enjoys taking medical learners as an Adjunct clinical Professor with McMaster University. He enjoys hockey, baseball, golf, traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.

Patrick Keating, MD

Dr. Patrick Keating was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario and graduated from McMaster University’s Honours Bachelor of Health Science program. He continued his education at McMaster where he completed his medical degree and residency training and is now an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) in the Department of Family Medicine. Now living in Kitchener – Waterloo, Dr. Keating enjoys teaching medical students and residents at all levels of training and is thrilled to work at Nith Valley Family Practice. He is an avid golfer and enjoys a number of other sports as well as spending time with his wife and daughter.

Aimée McMillan, MD

Dr. Aimee McMillan is originally from Guelph, Ontario is very happy to be settled in Waterloo Region. She obtained her degree in Physiology with a minor in Philosophy at the University of Western Ontario. She then studied medicine at McMaster University in Hamilton, followed by residency training in Family Medicine at McMaster University – Halton. She has been in practice in New Hamburg since 2013, and enjoys hosting medical students and residents. She is thrilled to be working and living in a vibrant community that offers so many opportunities for a rich and active life.
